Nick Simmons from MHANY Management addresses Council Member Narcisse's question about the current living conditions in occupied units awaiting renovation.
- MHANY has been managing the buildings since the TBT round designation in 2018
- Emergency issues such as heating problems and leaks are addressed immediately
- Cosmetic improvements are postponed until full renovations can take place
- Residents are asked to be patient for non-emergency improvements
- Some residents have been waiting since 2018, and MHANY acknowledges it's time for the work to be done

So we they what many has done since we've we've since the TBT round was designated, I think it was 2018, so it was a very long time ago.
0:23:52
We've managed the buildings.
0:23:54
We So what we do is we try to, you know, keep in a living order because the residents still have to pay their rent.
0:24:00
So if there is issues, we do try to take care of them.
0:24:03
When it's a big capital improvement, we try to, you know, ask them to be patient because, you know, the renovations can take place.
0:24:10
But, you know, if there's a heating issue, leaks, anything, any emergency issues, those get addressed right away.
0:24:16
But I think, like, more cosmetic or, like, a flooring, you can't really do that with the resident in place.
0:24:21
So Those stuff we ask the residents to be patient.
0:24:24
You know, some of them are patients.
0:24:25
Some of them, you know, it's been since 2018, so they're probably it's it's time.
0:24:30
And understandably, I think they're they're right when it is time to get the done the work done
