And and, obviously, CCRB is receiving complaints from individuals who at times have had serious allegations or make are are making very serious allegations or have had things that happened to them that are quite serious and also will have police officers coming before you who the outcome of that case could have a tremendous impact on them with their life or in their career.
0:57:33
How do how do you adjudicate those cases and you you and your experience.
0:57:39
You you, of course, have served on this before, but you will be seeing cases where you have to sides that have a lot of stake perhaps is the best way to put it.
0:57:51
And they are entrusting you and your colleagues to be fair and judicious not necessarily them, not one-sided, to be able to see the cases clearly and be balanced.
0:58:06
And while I do wanna wanna be clear that the colleagues and the council have have have praised your ability to be sort of fair and and and see the see the, you know, the the complicated nature of these cases.
0:58:19
Like, what can you talk to us about your experience or or how they're gonna we're gonna trust that into you.
0:58:29
And then second is that 3 person model that exists right now, is that, in your experience, the best way to handle those cases?
0:58:39
Is is that the right number of people?
0:58:40
In some cases, I think we've had recent reports of some of the vacancies leading to those not being able to be handled appropriately.
0:58:48
But is that the right model?
0:58:50
Have you found that to be effective in terms of judging and evaluating those cases?
