1 of the one of the issues that suits Harvey was dealing with frequently was related to the stop and frisk, stop a question and frisk where I think nearly approximately 30% of CCR complaints were related to that.
0:53:28
And, obviously, there's been findings of that being unconstitutional and a violation of individual civil rights, which is in contrast to what I think that administration had at times defined and defended.

I know New York has a very different and strong opinions about about that issue in in different directions.
0:53:52
But do do you believe that the administration then handle the CCR complaints properly handled CCR complaints, but stop and frisk.
0:54:02
Do you have can you share with us your your feelings on that practice and talk about the works CCRB did basically managing a large influx of complaints that came in during your last year, last tenure on the board.

I think the stop and frisk issue It was something at that time where Bloomberg wanted to probably see that maybe a good tool of of preventing crimes and all this thing.
0:54:34
But going back, I think that where Bloomberg realized at a point that it was wrong thing, and he publicly went, and he said that he apologized that stop and freeze should have not been a issue with, you know, which there was 7000 700,000 people were cases were there at that time.
0:54:57
So I believe that stop and frisk can be done, but in a different way.
0:55:05
We have body cameras now that there's other things that that can be seen in in doing this type of search that, which is not should not be illegal way of doing it.
0:55:18
There's always stop ask questions and and write down everything, and not searching everyone, stop and doing the fresh soap.
0:55:27
I I don't believe that THAT'S A GOOD WAY OF PREVENTING ANY CRIME.
0:55:32
UNLESS IT'S NECESSARY SOME AT SOME TIME, AT SOME POINT.
