Good afternoon, Chairman Powers and members of the city council My name is Doctor Mohammad Khaled.

I came to United States in 1972 from Pakistan as an immigrant with a degree as a dentist from one of the schools there and then attended New York University Dental School and got my license in 1977.

Professionally, I'm a dentist, but currently practicing in Staten Island since 1977 Besides my profession, I'm a civic leader in Staten Island for the last 30 years.

Cerming as a president, the 2 large civic association as a volunteer, the Iron Hill Civic Association, which covers the Toward Hill And Downing Hill's Colony section of Staten Island, with a population of about 5000 people.

The other association is the Pakistani Civic Association in Staten Island.

We have where we have close to 10,000 population.

These associations are the for the purpose of solving the issue of the quality of life, I have served also in the state government.

I was appointed in 2005 by then governor George Battaki to to a 6 year term as a member of the minority health council.

In 20 in 203, I was appointed by Mayor Bloomberg as a member of the Chart Revision Commission in 2005.

Again, Mayor Bloomberg appointed me to civilian complaint review board, which I served 9 years and few months.

That is where I learned the process of learning, entering the complaint by the public, and ending with the 3 members panel to to render our judgment.

This time around, I have been asked by my city council delegate of Staten Island.
