Crystal Hudson
1:13:28
Sure.
1:13:28
Are you also aware that the mayor asked corporation counsel Sylvia Hines Radix to resign allegedly because she objected to the law department defending a former police officer accused of sexual harassment.
Dr. Mohammad Khalid
1:13:42
I'm sorry, again, I
Crystal Hudson

Are you aware that the mayor also asked Corporation counsel Sylvia Hines Radix to resign allegedly because she objected to the law department defending a former police officer accused of sexual harassment.
Dr. Mohammad Khalid
1:13:56
I I'm not really aware of that case.
1:13:59
I'm sorry.
1:13:59
I
Crystal Hudson
1:14:00
Okay.
1:14:01
But you wouldn't necessarily believe that the mayor's interference with the leadership of the law department is evidence that judge Radix did something wrong?
Dr. Mohammad Khalid
1:14:12
I really don't know the details, so I cannot really comment on something So, you know, forgive me on that that I I only believe that the mayor is the elected official of the city of New York.
Crystal Hudson
1:14:27

Dr. Mohammad Khalid
1:14:37
Well, I don't believe that.
1:14:38
I'm just saying in this particular case that When I said that I won't do a a case like this good and I don't think any pub agency in the city of New York, I have not seen that the agency will go public, and talk about the issues of that particular agency.
1:14:58
I mean, I have never seen DOE, Department of Investigation publicly going and oppressed and saying that, you know, this person should be doing dashes.
Crystal Hudson
1:15:07
They're bound by By law.
1:15:11
Yeah.
Dr. Mohammad Khalid
1:15:13
So I I do not know Department
Crystal Hudson
1:15:14
of Investigation, I I would argue, you know, operates very differently from many other city agencies, and and just so that you know and that you're aware, many city agencies often feel like or or agency commissioners often feel like they can't speak out for fear of retaliation from someone like the mayor.
1:15:38
And so sometimes the only opportunity they have to get information out is to go to the press or to somehow, you know, share information other than through a more formal means.
1:15:51
But with arver Rice specifically, she's the head of the the urban league, and it wasn't a CCRB matter.
1:16:01
So
