Okay.
1:06:40
And then have you folks looked at, like, the Outer Burrow impact for some of these hotels and workers?
Carlos Ortiz
1:06:49
Could you clarify which what do you mean by impact?
Amanda Farías
1:06:51
Just in terms of who could be directly impacted whether it's bipoch workers, immigrant communities, and some of the smaller hotels.
1:07:02
Like, I have small hotels, motels in my district.
1:07:05
I don't have any of the large branches.
1:07:08
And just trying to gauge, have we looked at the economic impact both of the worker that's going to be impacted locally and of the small business.
Carlos Ortiz
1:07:16
Well, I think I'm I think it's I think that's something that would be important to consider and why we're having the hearing today.
1:07:22
It's it's great to be to hear directly from those stakeholders on the issues of those impacts.
1:07:26
You know, I think given we we have been we have been also working to learn as much as we can in the past week since the hearing was noticed.
1:07:33
Mhmm.
1:07:34
But that said, I I think for us, I wanna make sure that folks understand that we wanna be here as a resource for them, not not meant to be punitive.
1:07:41
It's meant to create a to create a floor, a standard in New York City for how hotel should operate.
1:07:47
You know, one one situation that I frequently encounter, for example, is a business that feels they're following all the rules, doing all the right things by their workers, by their consumers.
1:07:54
And then just down the street of business, that's not.
1:07:56
And I think we need to correct that situation, and that's what the intent of this bill is.
