My name is Paulo Rodriguez.
2:16:04
I I will probably get fired today for speaking here.
2:16:08
I'm currently in work as a housekeeping for the agency's superior cleaning at the Moxie Thomas Square.
2:16:14
I was one of the workers who was brought and paid by their by there on September 12 to oppose the safety hotels act.
2:16:20
So I I do not oppose this law.
2:16:22
My coworkers and I know that we will be much better off.
2:16:26
We will could work directly for the hotels, not for the agency.
2:16:29
Working for the subcontracting agency is horrible.
2:16:32
We make very little.
2:16:34
We clean 16, 17 news per day.
2:16:36
They work with us like a machine's ability to exploit us because we are immigrants.
2:16:41
We have no control over our schedule.
2:16:42
On many occasions, I have been called and told to stay home without pay when I'm already on the subway and my way to work.
2:16:49
And we have no ability to speak up.
2:16:51
For example, last week, our boss told us Christian Farfon, If you have to use your steep to clean better and do it, if you are not comfortable with that, the door is open.
2:17:02
It's wide open.
2:17:03
But I'm fed up.
2:17:05
I'm unwilling to take this risk to tell the truth.
2:17:07
This is our chance to have a better future.
2:17:10
So for them, and the green shirts, the workers.
2:17:13
And for me, we need the Safehold test act.
2:17:15
Please vote yes.
