Juan Diaz, representing the Citizens' Committee for Children (CCC), testified on the intersection of poverty, gender, and race in domestic violence and homelessness. He expressed support for proposed legislation to improve data collection and efficiency in program delivery for domestic violence survivors.
- Highlighted that 23% of new shelter populations were due to domestic violence, compared to 11% for housing and eviction cases
- Advocated for increased funding for home base providers and inclusion of domestic violence survivors in CityFHEPS assistance
- Recommended increasing funding for the End Gender-Based Violence grants to $6 million and pushing for more set-aside sites at HPD for domestic violence shelters

The recently released report from your to need a crisis compounded highlights the intersection of poverty, gender, race, and how this impact affects the Biden survivors.

And it it tells us the impact I was I we were trying to see that 23% of last year, 23% of new population at DHS shelter, pharmaceutical children, compared to 11% on housing and eviction cases.

We support into 2572 and 2573, which will improve data collection and efficiency in program delivery.

However, we also support specific programs and initiatives that will improve the housing stability of the Mitsubishi biosurbi.

Most importantly, we also encourage the CD administration to include domestic violence survivors for CDF's assistance and especially to increase funding for home base.

Home base providers are key in assistance, domestic violence survivors, once they exit shelter with aftercare services, and also when they're in the community and trying to free abusers for transfers with CDFabs.
