I just want to thank the many folks who helped with our wonderful Italian heritage night that was held here in chambers earlier this week.

My counsel colleagues and their respective teams who helped put together the event And, of course, our speaker, the speaker's office, and the wonderful team at council events and productions, who helped to make the evening such as success.

It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the Italian American community in New York City and beyond, and the triumph of of integration and finding a place in this country over the forces that seek sought to oppose our forebearers that council member Ariola just referenced in her remarks.
