Council Member Farah Louis, chair of the Committee on Women and Gender Equity, introduces several pieces of legislation and resolutions to be voted on by the committee. The legislation covers topics such as maternal mortality and morbidity, lactation room accommodation policies, parenting resources, and Medicaid reimbursement for doula services.
- Two local laws sponsored by Louis herself: Intro 891-A on maternal mortality and morbidity review, and Intro 892-A on lactation room accommodation policies
- Two local laws sponsored by Council Member Gutierrez: Intro 912-B on parenting resource materials and Intro 869-A on parental mental health resources

We will also be voting on council member Gutierrez proposed intro 912b, a local law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York in relation to requiring the Department of Health And Mental Hygiene to to to develop and distribute parenting resource materials to parents and Guardians of newborn children.
