You mentioned that the rezoning in 2009 didn't go far enough.
7:42:05
Could you give me an example?
Elizabeth Denys

Specifically, I would note that the rezoning pushed all housing opportunity away from what we consider to be a Victorian Flatbush and onto a few specific streets.
7:42:18
Those streets include places like Kony Allen Avenue, which, you know, there's so much more potential than even what's there.
7:42:26
And just overall, we haven't seen a huge growth in housing, like many of my neighbors will have said.
7:42:34
I'm you know, I think that we need to make it easier to get additional homes throughout all of these spots, you know, like ADUs with Invictorian Flatbush wouldn't change the physical character of the neighborhood, and it would even help what I consider character of the neighborhood, which is all the people there be able to continue to stay and to have more options to live in the neighborhood that they know and love.
7:42:57
And so I think that just, you know, not having more opportunity within certain pockets.
7:43:02
Since it's all about not every opportunity is going to be taken, we need to have as many opportunities as possible while still making sure that we're protecting existing residents.
