Thank you so much.
5:13:46
I am here before you today on behalf of myself and the Hollis Hill Civic Association to voice our firm opposition, no, to the city of yes proposal.
5:13:57
Despite this overwhelming concerns that are raised by numerous community members, it seems that the city and certain members of this planning commission are intent on pushing this forward.
5:14:08
Over the last months and year, countless residents have expressed their objections through public forms written statements admissions.
5:14:16
They've articulated fears about potential negative impacts in our communities, environmental sustainability, and overall community well-being.
5:14:25
And these voices are being met with disregard.
5:14:27
What is your goal here?
5:14:30
Are we to believe that the city prioritizes progress over the genuine concerns of its constituents?
5:14:36
This situation raises serious questions about the commitment to democratic principles.
5:14:41
And when community members are repeatedly expressing their opposition, The responsible course of action is to listen and engage in meaningful dialogue.
5:14:49
Reconsider this proposal.
5:14:51
And if the city continues to ignore, the will of the people how will they ever trust that our voices will matter in future decisions.
5:14:58
It's time for our leaders to recognize the true demands valuing inputs of community, and we deserve better than the city of yes to overlook our concerns.
5:15:08
And I urge the planning commission to reconsider and prioritize choices of those they represent.
5:15:14
Thank you.
