Daisy Colon, a Bronx resident from an R4 zone, testifies against the City of Yes for Housing Opportunity plan. She argues that her diverse community already provides affordable housing through homeowners renting out units, and that the focus should be on building equity for residents rather than giving incentives to developers.
- Colon emphasizes the importance of homeownership and equity in addressing the housing crisis
- She expresses concern that the plan would attract developers to an area she considers already well-managed
- Colon calls for more support for existing homeownership programs like New York City partnerships, Mitchell-Lama, and co-ops/condos

This plan, what it would do is get developers to come in here, which we've been seeing a lot of this area's concerted work a loan management area.

We're considered, like, we're not building enough housing for for low income.
11:43:18
