Erica Turner testifies against the City of Yes proposal, expressing concerns about how it would negatively impact her living situation and community. She describes potential consequences such as the loss of a playground, reduced privacy, and diminished quality of life for residents in her complex.
- Turner fears a 15-story building will replace their parking lot and playground, affecting safety and sun exposure.
- She argues that while housing is needed, it shouldn't come at the expense of existing residents' quality of life.
- Turner references a statement by Council Member Justin Brandon about the importance of safe spaces for children, implying the proposal contradicts this sentiment.
