Israel Peskowitz, a member of Queens Community Board 8 speaking for himself, expressed mixed views on the City of Yes for Housing Opportunity proposal. He supports some aspects but opposes others, particularly those that don't consider the diverse needs of different neighborhoods.

This proposal has many good ideas and a few terrible ones.

If the council's proposing a one size fits all zoning, by amount opposed to ADUs, to trench an RN to development or town center zoning, I, however, am approach to the removal of apartment apartments in transit deserts like Easton Queens to remove a New York and community board oversight and the lack of affordable housing requirements.

I both should notice that the plan seems to be focused entirely in rentals not an ownership, which is a vital part of building generational equity.
