I'm a mom of 2 kids in the public schools.

I'm here to express strong support for city of yes because I've seen many neighbors, including friends and my kids and their families, struggle to find housing that's family size and affordable.

3 years ago, an apartment building in our neighborhood burned down, and despite the best efforts of the Tennants Association, many residents had to leave permanently because there were simply no other apartments for them to find.

This is the result of decades of failure to build adequate multifamily housing in the city especially in the outer boroughs like Queens where I live.

And finally, I specifically wanna ask our elected officials, please don't give up on abolishing parking mandates.

Parking mandates are a holdover from the last century, keeping them in the zoning code Stifles our city ability to build housing where it's needed most.

And I encourage our electors to reflect on the best interests of current and future generations of New Yorkers and give us city of yes.
