Maria Fiocca, a lifelong resident of Flushing, Queens, expresses deep concerns about the City of Yes legislation and its potential impact on her community, particularly the Broadway North Flushing Neighborhood. She argues that the proposal threatens the character of her historic area and will strain local infrastructure.

  • She criticizes the lack of parking mandates and the potential for ADUs to encroach on limited backyard space.
  • Fiocca questions the motivations behind the plan, suggesting it primarily benefits developers and certain organizations at the expense of long-standing residents.
