It is such an honor to to be before my colleague today as the proud daughter of Jamaican immigrants and taxpayer support on Resolution 5 18, which designates October as Jamaican Heritage month in New York City.

By establishing Jamaican Heritage month in New York City, we recognize a rich history and enduring legacy of Jamaica and honor the incredible contributions Jamaica's have made both here and around the world.
