Got it.
0:55:41
I won't take up too much time here.
0:55:43
I I certainly want the administration, whether it's DP
James F. Gennaro
0:55:45
or other.
0:55:46
Keith, I'm happy to give you a little latitude.
0:55:48
Go ahead.
Keith Powers
0:55:48
Okay.
0:55:48
I appreciate it.
0:55:49
I'll still of my point, which is that whether it's DEP or it's Parks department, the goal here is to try to expand access to places where we did a survey in my office.
0:55:59
We found a lot of water fountains in public spaces, mostly parks that still a lack of in in in my district and places on the east side.
0:56:09
I'm sure that's for for for the city as well.
0:56:12
There's about 455 at fountains, I think, currently in the city that have the water filling capabilities.
0:56:17
So we're we're still have a long way to go.
0:56:20
I certainly would have loved enjoyed if Parks was here too, if they were gonna speak to this bill, and the answer is gonna be that.
0:56:26
Your agency is responsible.
0:56:27
We certainly love to have the agency that is responsible for you to speak to it because maybe it is their mandate then to to to help expand us with that.
0:56:35
And also figure out partnership with the council with our capital funding perhaps about how we might do that in certain parks or DDC if it's their projects that are leading to that.
0:56:44
So I'm not putting that on you.
0:56:46
I certainly know you speak for your agency, but from an administration standpoint, We certainly love to have more receptiveness to that and think about with us a plan to get you there, to get the city there, I should say, get us all there.
0:56:59
So I'm gonna forego other questions here, but we'll see to just restate that.
0:57:04
I think this is a goal that we can achieve in the next few years.
0:57:08
We can work together with the ADT's to find it with our TDC because I know they did some projects in my district recently where they did put these stations in parks, you know, figure out the right agencies.
0:57:17
To do this, and then also I forgot to maintain them.
0:57:21
So certainly, we'd love to have their them here as well to provide feedback, and we will reach out to them to get their feedback.
0:57:26
But from an administration standpoint for folks who are here from administration, I I I think there is a lot of public support for this and do not a lot of live live in the world with just being siloed from one agency other.
0:57:38
Let's have, like, a conversation with it, and we'll we'll work with the administration beyond you guys to to to to work on that and would appreciate your cooperation as we do that.
0:57:46
Thanks.
