Good afternoon, everybody, and thank you very much, Chairwoman.
0:45:48
I'm as baffled as you are about a lot of things.
0:45:51
When it comes to AI, it's above my pay grade I've often said, but I'm gonna do my best.
0:45:57
I keep hearing the words risk management risk assessment and monitoring.
0:46:04
Those two words really kinda scam me a little bit.
0:46:07
As does the whole format of AI, I got to get to be familiar with it.
0:46:12
But however, I wanna talk about something that really falls more in my wheel wheelhouse, which is social responsibility.
0:46:23
Also, one of the principles that states in order to promote confidence in the city's adoption of AI and its lawful and responsible data stewardship, and protect New Yorkers from potential and unlawful and unethical uses of their data.
0:46:43
The city must commit to extending an existing privacy protections in the agency AI development and use and modify those protections as necessary to keep pace with the tech technological advances.
0:46:59
However, the city privacy protection policies of protocols based on February 6 2023 does not does neither address AI nor extend privacy protections.
0:47:15
When do you plan to extend privacy protection in the agency AI development and use?
0:47:21
That's question 1.
0:47:22
Question 2 is, I want to point out another principle listed that states in order to encourage greater public trust in the city's use of AI.
0:47:35
Agencies should carefully consider public engagement.
0:47:39
Disclosure or explanation of AI use as it is critical to understand how a given system may impact residents, safety, rights, or excess of to services.
0:47:55
How have you or are you planning to conduct public engagement?
0:48:02
What steps have you taken to ensure a public trust?
0:48:06
Now I know I heard you say, that you've had some hearings thus far Mhmm.
0:48:10
About this.
0:48:11
But this is still very new and I I often worry that our privacy issues are very much at riskier.
0:48:20
How do we determine that the human factor in any of this stuff that we're putting forward.
0:48:26
You know, I I really worry.
0:48:29
A great deal about that.
0:48:31
You know, AI troubles me troubles me when we come to judge our kids in school, It troubles me when it comes to our privacy.
0:48:41
There's a lot of different things.
0:48:42
We we could be overstepping.
0:48:44
So if you wouldn't mind, I know I just stood out a little bit.
0:48:46
If you could please answer me.
