So I would say that there isn't a singular enforcement mechanism because there isn't a singular thing that we're trying to enforce.
0:33:30
Right?
0:33:31
The action plan is intended to be broader.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:33:33
You're not trying to enforce, like, risk assessment or That
Alex Foard
0:33:36
is an example of one of the things that we're enforcing.
0:33:38
When that we do build that out.
0:33:40
Local law 35 is something that's enforced.
0:33:42
But the action plan has a lot of other activities built into it.
0:33:45
I had mentioned skill building for staff.
0:33:48
Right?
0:33:48
That's a series of activities that we wanna do to make sure that the city's workforce equipped to work with AI.
0:33:54
We I've also been looking into what agencies needs are with respect to procurement.
0:33:59
We've been doing public engagement and listening sessions.
0:34:02
So each of these act activities takes a little bit of a different form.
0:34:05
When we talk about policy and process, to the extent that we build out enforceable policy, of course, that would be enforced.
0:34:11
But, again, some of these activities don't take that form.
0:34:14
They take the form of, say, a resource or another another activity.
0:34:18
And so I just wanna be clear that there isn't a singular Yeah.
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:34:21
It's not it's not a laundry list of things
Alex Foard
0:34:23
that Exactly.
0:34:23
It's not
Jennifer Gutiérrez
0:34:24
a challenge.
0:34:24
But there are opportunity opportunities, certainly opportunities there.
0:34:28
And I think in certain agencies, according to the local law 35, like, the reporting, there are some agencies utilizing AI to you know, more AI tools than some that are using NAND.
0:34:38
I think it's also an opportunity for agencies that aren't using NAND to really, like, start working with you all to think of, like, how can we improve services?
0:34:46
Right?
0:34:47
Is utilizing an AI tool something that we can do.
0:34:50
So I think I'm just saying it's there's opportunity there.
0:34:52
Again, it's not a laundry list.
0:34:53
It's some of them are suggestions.
0:34:55
Some of them are just, like, resources.
0:34:56
This might be helpful.
0:34:58
But, like, the action I I just think the action plan to me means action.
0:35:03
Means, like, we're doing something, and this is how we're going to, like, check that it's it's it's happening responsibly.
0:35:10
And so that's that's why I'm pressing you on it because I don't I just feel like outside of legislation, the agency has not laid out a athletes to do that is my opinion.
0:35:22
You can respond to that.
