1:02:34
And now, to close down and say it doesn't mean I'm stepping a a few step or a thousand step backward.
1:02:46
Has health science I mean, as a health science university downstate is involved in providing education and training for students in the college of medicine, which like my son, college of nursing, school of graduate studies, school of health professions, and school of public health.
1:03:04
How would the potential changes to downstate and apply those students?
Dr. Michelle Morse
1:03:12
I can just start by saying, of course, it is the state's responsibility, Susan.
1:03:17
State and school.
1:03:18
And so it is the state's responsibility around training.
1:03:21
They're the decision maker on this.
1:03:24
And what we also know, of course, is that the next generation of health workers have to be trained in high quality settings medical schools, nursing schools, etcetera.
1:03:34
So certainly, I think the state, you know, again, will be responsible for figuring out what the impacts would be and where alternative training sites would need to be if they were to decide.
1:03:45
To close the Sumi down patient down state inpatient beds.
Mercedes Narcisse
1:03:50
You know, I'm very concerned.
1:03:51
Every time you repeat it, I know that's what it is, but then again, it is unfortunate that the state responsible by we live in the city of New York and we need to defend.
1:04:01
That's why I'm so happy for the next panel, and I'm hoping that you can stay because that's the state folks that are coming up because we have to find a way to make sure the health we have to deliver quality of health in New York City.
1:04:17
That's our responsibilities.
1:04:19
Even though the state, but the state, we have to collaborate together to get this thing done.
1:04:27
Alright.
1:04:27
So I'm gonna pass it on, and I can always come back if I have more questions.
1:04:32

Gustavo Rivera
