- Recently enacted legislation includes Local Laws 37, 38, 39, and 40 of 2024, which enhance data collection, optimize outreach, establish reporting requirements, and create online resources for veterans
- Recommendations for the Council include:
- Amplifying the Dwyer program by promoting its application deadline
- Requiring entities receiving Schedule C funding for veteran services to coordinate with DVS
- Adding a veteran indicator question to all Council constituent intake forms
- These recommendations aim to enhance coordination, expand outreach, and maximize the impact of veteran-focused resources
