The discussion shifts to the importance of special education services for military families in NYC schools. Examples are provided to illustrate how the military family advocate program has helped families access these services and why military families, particularly from the Coast Guard, choose NYC for its special education offerings.

  • An example of the Khoskar family is shared, demonstrating how the program helped secure special education services quickly
  • It's noted that many Coast Guard families choose NYC specifically for its special education services
  • The department has developed a relationship with District 75 to better serve these families
