Older Adult Liaison program in NYPD precincts

The Older Adult Liaison program is a joint initiative between NYCA and NYPD, placing designated liaisons in every police precinct to support older adults. This program aims to improve access to services and increase safety for older New Yorkers.
- Older Adult Liaisons are present in all 77 NYPD precincts and 9 police service areas
- Liaisons connect victims with support services and educate the public on available programs
- The program was announced by Mayor Adams in June 2023 in observance of World Elder Abuse Day
- Liaisons attend community council meetings and older adult centers to engage with the community
