In that spirit, my legislation that we're hearing today is concerned with ensuring that older New Yorkers have access to current information about scams, fraud, and other forms of financial exploitation, as well as resources to help older adults organize their financial affairs and improve their financial literacy.

Older adults should feel empowered to make decisions about their financial well-being, and this legislation would give them the tools to do so.
