NYCHA established three new departments and units to support compliance with the HUD agreement: the Compliance Department, the Environmental Health and Safety Department, and the Quality Assurance Unit. These teams monitor NYCHA's work, make recommendations, and provide technical assistance.
- A Strategy and Innovation department was created to track NYCHA's progress in meeting agreement deadlines
- The City of New York agreed to provide an additional $2.2 billion in capital funds over the first 10 years of the agreement
- The state has provided more than $1 billion in capital funds since the agreement was signed
