The reason I ask is, as we sit here today, there are many shortages in city government.
0:58:40
Like, that's a different hearing.
0:58:42
But then you have all this CUNY, these wonderful CUNY students, so many of which I know, should be getting many of these city jobs.
0:58:49
So there's there's a disconnect.
0:58:50
If you understand what I'm saying.
0:58:51
In other words, every here and I go to, we can't do house, and we can't do this, we can't do that, we don't have inspectors, we don't have this, we don't have people to do the jobs.
0:58:59
Right?
0:58:59
That's a big talk.
0:59:01
And yet here are all these great CUNY students who could fill those jobs.
0:59:05
So as you're talking, it's a little bit nebulous to understand how the 2 go together.
0:59:12
So I guess I'm trying to say between CUNY and DECAS.
0:59:15
It's not just a DECAS as a list.
0:59:17
CUNY, there should be more understanding of how because if I was, you know, in charge and we all hope that more CUNY students could get these jobs.
0:59:26
Because they are diverse and it's the greatest institution.
0:59:29
So it it's just not clear that, you know, because when you're talking, there are just so many opportunities, but it is hard to understand the and, obviously, funding.
0:59:38
Now, the ones that CUNY that you're mentioning We could always use more funding, but is there adequate funding to be able to meet the needs?
