DOI has recommended that gel cameras coverage be enhanced to correct for blind spots and extend it to cover janitor's closet and other closed rooms that officers can access with a person in custody.
2:22:24
They also recommended that DLC should retain footage from each camera for 1 year.
2:22:34
Have all these recommendations been implemented?
2:22:37
That question was asked before.
2:22:39
The reason I'm going back to it, so if evidence is based on evidence based on everything, not ex not all from what the person is saying, but the cameras would be a very, very important tool to have, especially to cover the blind spots.
2:22:59
And from my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, So you still have blind spots.
2:23:05
You now have upgraded all the cameras.
2:23:08
Right?
2:23:09
Have you?
2:23:10
So
Lynelle Maginley-Liddie
2:23:13
so at the time when that recommendation was presented policies, procedures and recommendation was presented by DOE.
2:23:21
The commissioner at the time, I'm assuming, did not accept all of those recommendations.
2:23:26
That's why I said, I I have to go back and look at that.
2:23:29
Right?
2:23:29
Because because that was the report was in 2018.
2:23:32
We do not currently have cameras throughout all those areas.
2:23:37
That's why we have a captain conducting the tours, but that's why I said I will go back and look at that recommendation and and then sort of circle back with.
Mercedes Narcisse
2:23:46
So what Michael is saying, the evidence we're talking about, if you don't have that for somebody that you're saying, this is what happen, and you don't have this important tools in place, that's a problem.
2:24:00
And I just explained to you, it takes me 2 years because somebody just touched me, because they were just grabbing a train, not even for me.
2:24:07
It was just the thing they were taking.
2:24:09
Mhmm.
2:24:09
And it hurt me so much.
2:24:12
Take 2 years over 2 years washing that spot.
2:24:16
So this is serious.
