The Commissioner provides details on the implementation of a new electronic case management system for tracking sexual abuse and harassment cases within the Department of Correction.
- DOC has been procuring and implementing a new electronic case management system over the past year
- The system is designed to document and track cases, investigations, and disciplinary actions department-wide
- The PREA investigation unit was selected as the first unit to go live with the application
- Once fully operational, the system will improve DOC's ability to document, track, and report on sexual abuse and harassment complaints
- The Commissioner requests adjustments to the effective date of Intro 792 to ensure the system meets all requirements
