Ingris Martinez provides information on the use of temporary duty (TDY) officers in the DOC's investigative division.
- The investigation division unit has 10 TDY officers and 3 TDY supervisors
- Some TDY investigators have been with the unit for over 6 years
- 6 investigators have been with the unit for less than 2 years
- 6 permanent investigators have been with the unit for 7 to 8 years
- Of the 6 supervisors, 2 are permanent, and 3 are TDY with less than 2 years of service
- TDY (Temporary Duty Assignment) allows for flexibility in transfers and maintains seniority based on assigned facility rather than in-house assignment

So for my unit, for the investigation division unit, we have officers, 10 TDY, and then supervisors, we have 3 TDY.
1:26:36
But TDY in the sense that I have 4 in 4 investigators that have been with us for over 6 years, and then there were mainly 6 little less than 2 years, and 6 permanent that have been there 7 to 8 years.
1:26:53
So that makes up my investigative staff.
1:26:55
My supervisory staff, I have 6 supervisors, 2 that are permanent, and 3 that are TDY with less than 2 years with us, and and only 2 permanent.
