Chief Michael Fields explains the Hospital Liaison Officer (HLO) pilot program, which aims to improve ambulance turnaround times at hospitals.
- HLOs are being placed at the busiest H+H facilities along with 2 EMTs
- The program allows EMS crews to transfer non-life-threatening patients to the HLO team
- This enables the ambulance crew to return to service more quickly for the next 911 assignment

And we expect solar pilot program, which we call the HLO, which is the hospital liaison offices.

We're placing those offices into none of the busiest H and H facilities along with 2 EMTs.

So when the EMT, when the EMS crew comes into the emergency room with a non life threatening emergency, they pass that patient onto the officer and the 2 EMTs, and then they're made available to go back out to to the next 911 assignment.
