Last session, we made tremendous progress passing our 1st agent place NYC package that included laws to expand the right to counsel for older tenants, mandate universal design in city funded housing, and expand access to telemedicine and culturally appropriate programming at older adult centers.

These are major steps toward a more inclusive city that values its older adult population, but the fight isn't over.

This session, we're pushing forward with even more critical reforms, stronger coordination across city agencies to support older adults, more options for home delivered meals, expanded support to keep older adults connected in a digital world, and new tools to help seniors protect themselves from fraud.

And we're working on policies that will help lay the groundwork for a comprehensive universal elder care system across all 5 boroughs.

The reality is that we would all be fortunate to age in this great city, and aging is a privilege.

It's not just our responsibility to support our older adults today, but into their future.

You can help protect them by signing on to the Age in Place 2.0 package.
