Thank you.
1:01:24
I rise today to offer a congratulations to a former New Yorker, president Trump on his reelection.
1:01:31
I wanna also extend that congratulations to the new members of, our house delegation, rep elect Gillen and rep elect, Riley.
1:01:40
And why do I mention those 3?
1:01:41
Because all 3 have committed to trying to end the cap on the SALT tax.
1:01:46
And I think if they can work together on it, certainly, that's a lesson for all of us.
1:01:50
I wanna also congratulate some New Yorkers who have been asked to be, in the Trump administration.
1:01:56
1st and foremost is, former rep Lee Zeldin.
1:01:59
I'm hopeful that as head of the EPA, he can, end the threat from this horrible plan, this horrible scam called congestion pricing, which proves to do nothing for my community other than to add more congestion and more pollution.
1:02:14
Just ask the MTA's own report.
1:02:16
I've just found out the governor intends to reinstate it, with a December 29th start date.
1:02:21
And, unfortunately, it's it's things like this that really validate the criticisms from the biggest cynics in of government.
1:02:28
When you scrap something before an election and then reimplement it a week later, It really does validate why people hate government just so much.
1:02:38
And finally, I'd like to congratulate, Elise Stefanik, the new UN ambassador.
1:02:42
She's made the fight against anti Semitism, one of the foremost things she's done in the House of Representatives.
1:02:48
I think the UN can use a voice like that.
1:02:51
And, actually, last but not least, we'll we'll give a a congratulations to Steve Witkoff, who, is going to become the special envoy to the Middle East.
1:02:59
Now as someone who was a real estate developer and the owner of thousands of units, here in New York, I think he'd see, Mideast peace as sort of a retirement job, after dealing with, us in the city council.
1:03:11
I don't know about you.
1:03:12
I don't think the Ayatollah has much on mister Ressler and his friends.
1:03:16
That's a joke.
1:03:18
So thank you very much.
