MOUA is implementing various initiatives to support local farmers and producers, focusing on scaling operations and improving access to procurement opportunities.
- MOUA partners with NYC Small Business Services to provide MWBE training and certification for small food and farm businesses.
- The NYC School Food EATS program, launched in collaboration with NYC Public Schools and Cornell Cooperative Extension, offers procurement training for regional small to mid-scale food and farm businesses.
- These initiatives aim to minimize barriers to the NYC school food procurement process and increase the supply of healthy, culturally relevant food in city cafeterias.

At Muwe, we are attempting to increase opportunities for local farmers and producers to scale their operations by providing pathways to critical certifications and procurement opportunities here in the city.
