As you'll read in our annual progress report, this initiative is a 2 year pilot, which New York City public school students ranging from elementary to high school grades are provided with the opportunity to build relationships with local urban farmers and learn directly about farm topics, such as the seasonality of crops, the life cycle of food, and what it takes in the livelihood of a farmer, urban and rural.
