technology is always advancing.
1:06:41
We're not where, you're explaining right now.
1:06:46
With that said, the network of cameras, in the subway system is vast.
1:06:55
It's tremendous.
1:06:56
Every every every subway station in New York City in some way, shape, or form has video surveillance in it, some more than others.
1:07:05
You know, if if you wanna talk using technology, in particular cameras to combat subway surfing, that's being done.
1:07:16
It's it's being done in, you know, so many cameras the MTA has, the NYPD, is watching in real time.
1:07:25
Real time.
1:07:26
And with the addition or the supplement of the drones that's why I said, like, game changer.
1:07:32
I mean, the cameras are fixed.
1:07:34
The drones are mobile.
1:07:35
They're moving.
1:07:37
The quality is excellent.
1:07:41
You know, the value of capturing a subway surfer on video is enormous for so many reasons.
1:07:50
I think the most powerful, powerful takeaway from the, capturing it on video is, showing it to mom when mom, or dad comes to pick up Junior and Junior says, I didn't do nothing.
1:08:05
It wasn't me.
1:08:06
It was my friends.
1:08:07
And the video clearly captures Junior subway surfing.
1:08:10
Not the kids would lie to their parents.
1:08:14
But, you you know, I I've said it so many times that there's there's no greater partner in our efforts to combat subway surfing than a concerned parent.
1:08:25
And this is what we're talking about, the parent coming and actually seeing it.
1:08:29
Just so much more value than the slap in the, on on the wrist that the, apprehension is going to, create.
1:08:37
But I I think we need to, you know, really, really understand video is being used.
1:08:44
It's always advancing.
1:08:46
But the driving force, in in my opinion, and I think, as as you ask other people that are dealing with this, is social media and the, you know, the attention surrounding it.
1:09:00
Why are these kids subway surfing?
1:09:03
Once you ask yourself that question and and come up with a a a reason, you you gotta really focus in on that reason.
1:09:10
And and many reasons.
1:09:11
It's it's not the sole driving force, but in large part it is.
1:09:15
And it's offering them attention, likes, clout.
1:09:19
And we're talking about young, immature, impressionable kids here.
1:09:23
We're talking about 12 year olds.
