Hi.
3:28:27
Hi.
3:28:27
Thank you.
3:28:29
I want to also testify in support of resolution 59.
3:28:33
59.
3:28:33
I think this is foremost an issue of equitable city planning.
3:28:37
When we have 2 competing proposals for a site, one of them being Queen's length, one of them being Queensway, I think both deserve the opportunity to have both plans serving side by side.
3:28:48
This is an issue of equity for all of New Yorkers.
3:28:52
I grew up in East Queens.
3:28:54
I grew up in Forest Hills.
3:28:55
I've neglected rejected, rather, job opportunities in Brooklyn.
3:29:00
I've rejected job opportunities in Tar Heel because it's unfeasible together.
3:29:05
When I go out for recreation, specifically the beach, I go to Jones Beach just like Robert Moses intended because there's so much ground for putting I think the q 53 and 52 are so packed that it's impossible to get to a beach and enjoy the economy in my own world.
3:29:25
I want to go see shows at Rippers in the summer.
3:29:27
I wanna go surfing.
3:29:29
I wanna see all the work that the city has done to restore the Rockaways, but I only get to go to Rockaway about 1 or 2 times a year.
3:29:38
And that's not just talking about re recreation.
3:29:40
I'm talking about economic opportunities as well.
3:29:44
There are many people who live in the rock walls.
3:29:46
Fuck.
3:29:47
Can't get it to work.
3:29:48
Somewhere like even Forest Hills because it is such a long commute.
3:29:52
I think Queen's length, unlike Queen's Way, would change the future.
3:29:57
Whereas Queensway would preserve the status quo in East Queens and relegate relegate East Queens to just one more lane style of development for generations to come.
3:30:09
I think it's a worthwhile plan for us to look at.
3:30:12
Because if we don't build the Queen's link, Queen's will have more in common with Long Island than the rest of New York City as the city continues to grow.
3:30:22
Each Queen is part of New York City too.
3:30:24
And I believe that the Queens link deserves at least their EIS.
3:30:29
Thank you.
