Before I dive in, I wanna thank you for the opportunity to discuss accessory dwelling units, including basement apartments, which touch on critical issues facing New York City and present opportunities to make New York City more livable, safe, and affordable.

Today, I will also be testifying on intro 850, a bill requiring the Department of Housing Preservation and Development to submit quarterly reports to the council for affordable housing projects and public sites that have gone through U LRP but have not yet closed.
