What would you do we have a situation.
0:37:37
I'm a bit very supportive of the sheriff and, obviously, I wanna get rid of the unlicensed cannabis.
0:37:43
But there is a situation where the oath lawyer, indicates that there's been a problem with that particular case and that particular, individual, establishment and that hasn't been perhaps, correctly written down.
0:38:02
So, in that case, O says, establishment can stay open because of whatever reason, and the sheriff has been overriding that, saying, it's gotta close.
0:38:12
Now I do want them closed, but but I also wanna follow the law.
0:38:15
So I'm just wondering what's your position on that issue?
0:38:17
Is it okay, the statue as it is, or should we be changing that statue?
Muriel Goode-Trufant
0:38:23
I think that the statue is fine.
0:38:27
We started this process, as you know, in the spring.
0:38:31
We continue to work with all, of the component pieces, to make certain that we smooth out any, rough patches and make certain that, due process is followed when, enacting, closures, inspections, etcetera.
Gale A. Brewer
0:38:52
Okay.
0:38:53
So I guess so oath will say x and then the sheriff will do y, but you still think that's okay at this moment?
Muriel Goode-Trufant
0:38:59
It it it it would really be fact specific, based on what is in the record.
Gale A. Brewer
0:39:05
Okay.
