Good afternoon.
3:02:48
My name is Camilla Tepellos.
3:02:49
I'm the executive director of the Morris Park Business Improvement District in the Bronx.
3:02:53
A bid with 390,000, dollars in assessment, one full time staff member, paying 2 full time supplementary sanitation staff from our vendor Street Plus that that, testified earlier that cost $153,000 a year to clean up sidewalks along 21 blocks of commercial corridor on Morris Park Avenue in the Bronx.
3:03:14
And, no, our work is not exactly the same like the work of our individual members because cleaning up 4 corn corners on 21 blocks is not the same like a single business putting their trash in a single, trash can.
3:03:28
I'm an admirer of commissioner Tisch's, work, which I consider to be transformative for the city and arguably may become the most substantive impact of the Adam's administration on the city.
3:03:39
I share with miss Tisch being on the list of New York City and state above and beyond innovators 2023, issue on exactly the same, page.
3:03:49
I thank the 2 courtiers of this hearing for the very pertinent questions related to the beads and the public trash that we collect to make our neighborhoods, beautiful.
3:03:59
It was stated that there were a lot of misunderstanding in terms of, the quote, unquote beads trash.
3:04:04
And, of course, there are because we have been asking DSNY for something in writing, the proposal of this of this proposed changes for months.
3:04:12
The fact that DSNY does not want to provide us with anything in writing, no document whatsoever, I mean, make gives us make leaves us in a place impossible to plan to consider in our budget to to approve by our board of whatever investment is necessary.
3:04:29
We are looking forward to work with DSNY.
3:04:31
We are supporters in in in this project, and we want our streets to be free from reds.
3:04:37
But just to share with you an example of an experiment and of an experiment that Morris Park did, did.
3:04:42
Anticipating this legislation, we instructed our workers to put all, trash that is now in bags,
Shaun Abreu
3:04:48
bags of trash cans,
Camelia Tepelus
3:04:49
to put it in the trash cans.

Thank you.
