There are structural problems at CUNY, which lead to students not being and not feeling safe.

And I look forward to working with community administration, with city and state officials to ensure that these recommendations are implemented so that all of our students feel safe.

And as I said earlier, it's not enough to want to do the right thing, to feel as if this is an important issue.

There have to be concrete policies in place to ensure the safety of all of our students, that all of our students feel welcome.
