Good afternoon.
3:08:42
Can you hear me?
3:08:43
Yes.
3:08:45
Good afternoon, Schulman, chair Schulman.
3:08:48
Mhmm.
3:08:49
I wanna talk about, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
3:08:53
Actually, type 2 diabetes is when you do it to yourself with a, western diet.
3:08:59
So we wanna urge the committee on health to to draft bills that are gonna ban food preservatives from our food supply.
3:09:08
To name a few of these, preservatives, and chemicals, potassium, aspartame, sucralose, MSG.
3:09:17
And for the parents who like to take their children out to eat ice cream, they should consider and look up a chemical called carrageenan.
3:09:25
Carrageenan is a pro inflammatory chemical that's used in laboratories to induce cancer in lab animals.
3:09:32
So we urge the council to draft bills to remove these preservatives from our food supply, ensuring our health and our future.
3:09:41
I think that's very important.
3:09:43
Also, when it comes to aspartame, artificial sweetener, that chemical was made possible not by doctors, not by health care professionals, but by elected officials.
3:09:56
We we encourage the council to look at a a documentary called Sweet Misery.
3:10:01
Again, a documentary is called Sweet Misery.
3:10:04
The ADA, the, American Heart Associations supports aspartame, and aspartame is a known carcinogen.
3:10:11
Thank you so much.
