Michael Ryan outlines the Board of Elections' successful poll worker recruitment campaign for the 2024 election, highlighting the significant number of new recruits and changing trends in recruitment sources.
- The Board recruited about 37,000 new poll workers from mid-August to the end of September
- This represents about 80% of the 46,000 total poll workers recruited for the entire year
- Ryan notes a shift in recruitment sources, with more poll workers coming from community volunteers rather than political party recommendations

And we recruited about 37,000, individuals, the specific numbers in the testimony.

Of the 46,000 that we recruited for the for the entire year, 37,000 came during that, period of time, which is about 80% of the new poll workers.

And what we're finding, is that less and less the poll workers are coming from the party apparatus, party apparatuses, I suppose from each each major party, and more from, friends and neighbors who wanna be, civic minded and participate.

So those are, I think, the highlights.
