Thank you.
1:48:44
I just wanna thank the speaker for being a housing champion, for seeing that all of our neighborhoods are indeed distinct.
1:48:51
Countless hours, have been put in with our fellow public servants working tirelessly even before our last vote to get this right because all council members were heard and all deserving all are deserving of a plan and opportunity to address our collective housing shortage.
1:49:09
And to get here, I'm very thankful to city planning and the mayor's office HPD for their collaboration, but a very, very special thank you to the city council team for their hard work during negotiations.
1:49:20
We've worked diligently to get to this moment.
1:49:22
I'm proudly voting aye on the city of yes.
1:49:24
And we have and must continue to consider that our vacancy rate is less than 1 a half percent.
1:49:31
Rents are at astronomical levels.

25.

1:49:33
Working class New Yorkers are telling us they are leaving because of high housing costs and the inability to own and keep their home.
1:49:42
And we are on track to lose additional seats in congress after the next census 26.
1:49:47
Because of out migration.
1:49:49
We are addressing this now as a city of yes and the unprecedented investments secured by this council.
1:49:55
Like Rezonings are challenging.
1:49:57
Believe me, I know.
1:49:58
But I believe it's our responsibility to take a much longer view of what our constituents need to survive and thrive now and for future generations.
1:50:07
And with this plan, we are addressing the fact that this city is woefully behind in housing production.
1:50:13
With this plan, we will produce more housing than all rezonings under the last two mayoral administrations.
1:50:19
This is the largest housing unit creation in recent history and the council brought it forward.
1:50:25
It is time to move forward to support a city for all.
1:50:29
With that, I vote aye on all.
