The speaker negotiated a historic $5,000,000,000 investment in new affordable housing that is actually affordable to working families, in tenant protections, in improvements at NYCHA, in infrastructure investments to meet the needs of growing communities, and so much more.

In my district, as a result of this plan, there will be more affordable housing in new buildings that go up and less parking spots in our transit rich community.
1:00:12
That makes sense.
1:00:13
This plan will create just about a 100 units of new housing per council district per year for the next 15 years.
1:00:20
Come to the 33rd district today.
1:00:22
There are dozens of projects underway that are bigger than a 100 units right now.
1:00:26
My district has generated more new housing than any other council district in New York City over the last 15 years.
1:00:32
We are doing our part.
1:00:33
It has not been easy, but it has been necessary.
1:00:35
This plan ensures that every city council district steps up.
1:00:40
I'd like to thank the speaker and her team for negotiating a great deal for New Yorkers, for my constituents.
1:00:46
I am grateful especially to Faiza and Jeremy and Mandela for their work on this.
1:00:50
