May I explain my vote?
UNKNOWN
1:39:58
So what I did?
Darlene Mealy
1:39:59
I wanna thank the speaker and the whole body, land use, for all that they have done.
1:40:05
But, I was thinking of 5th I have the most community boards in the whole city, and every last one of them has voted no.
1:40:17
And before this was even a major, major issue, I did numerous of meetings with my community.
1:40:22
My community is a well informed community.
1:40:26
And to think about it, my district is double parking triple times.
1:40:32
And to think now developers have absolute power to not do any parking whatsoever.
1:40:39
I feel this body is taking our our own power away from ourselves.
1:40:44
We can't negotiate with the developers.
1:40:47
They can do whatever they want.
1:40:48
And then to think about, I asked numerous times, where about what about houses of worship?
1:40:55
If you're gonna take houses of worship and put it on a back burner, something is wrong with this city because we should be founded on some kind of faith to make sure that our houses of worship are taken care of first.
1:41:10
So with that, I just, said I will be voting on all except 1127 a.
1:41:22
I vote no.
1:41:23
I vote no on 1128 a.
1:41:26
And to think about it, I asked the land use numerous times if we're gonna change our garages into housing, have we talked to the insurance company to see if our how those little extra adjectives to our homes can be insured?
1:41:46
I still have not gotten that information as of yet.
1:41:50
Please consider that.
1:41:51
I feel we can do better for this city.
1:41:54
And I vote, I abstain on M79 reso 688, no on llu181, and reso 689.
1:42:08
And I thank everyone who had numerous meetings, but I feel we could do better.
1:42:14
And to think about 12 years ago, I was in office
