Next year marks 400 years since the Dutch established a permanent colony on Lenape land not far from here.

At this moment in our history, we are poised to make the most of this milestone to dig deeper in the native history of our city and to explore new narratives, more accurate narratives around the people and communities who made New York City into the city it is today, willingly or not.
