Thank you.
4:15:12
Just about I wanna ask Karen how she feels about the commissioner's testimony today.
4:15:18
Because, you know, I experienced what you experienced kind of when I was 9 years old.
4:15:23
I was hit by a car and my pelvis broke.
4:15:26
Your, your pelvis broke.
4:15:27
I know what that feels like.
4:15:29
It's, it's debilitating.
4:15:30
And, and I don't know how.
4:15:32
And I was 9 years old and I still feel the effects of getting hit by a car.
4:15:37
But your wrist was broken, your pelvis was broken, your elbow dislocated, you have post traumatic stress.
4:15:43
I mean, everything that was done to you.
4:15:46
And then when you hear a commissioner who had no answers, I mean, I would I don't know how you could remain quiet because I would be
Karen Chagru
4:15:54
Well, they were gonna throw me out,
Gale A. Brewer
4:15:55
I think.
Robert F. Holden
4:15:56
I mean, I know.
4:15:57
May maybe, again, but it's really it makes my blood boil sitting up here, but not experiencing what you experienced.
Karen Chagru
4:16:06
I don't wanna whine about this.
4:16:07
I have recovered.
4:16:09
But the fact of the matter is I can't get back on my bicycle because of this.
4:16:13
And to hear the commissioner of the Department of Transportation say minimize this problem.
4:16:19
To to try to say that cars are a bigger issue, no one is disputing that.
4:16:24
But can't we have a solution to this problem as well?
4:16:28
And I must say the biggest disappointment for me is in my fellow cyclists who don't acknowledge, that this is a real issue and don't acknowledge that there's an accountability problem and won't sign on to this as well.
4:16:42
I I was shocked by the commissioner's testimony.
Robert F. Holden
4:16:44
Thank you.
Karen Chagru
4:16:44
