Council Member Williams raises concerns about potential loopholes in wage transparency laws, particularly the use of headhunters and third-party job postings to circumvent salary disclosure requirements.
- Discussion of job postings on headhunter websites that may not fully comply with transparency requirements
- Anecdote about Goldman Sachs employees discussing the use of firms and hidden hiring processes to avoid compliance
- Concerns about very large salary ranges being posted, which may be disingenuous
- Question about how CCHR is addressing these attempts to skirt around the law

And then I have a question.
1:13:37
Like, some of these, like, like, headhunters and it's it's like as I've, like, gone to some of their websites, and, like, they post job descriptions, but it's, like, not the entity itself.
1:13:55
Like, it's it's not, like, if Chase Bank hires a headhunter, and then the headhunter, like, has a job description on their website.
1:14:02
Maybe not even on a LinkedIn or Indeed that's on their website.
1:14:05
Like, maybe it just has, like, the job.
1:14:07
Maybe it's not even, like, crafted in, like, a typical job description, it just has, like, the information.
1:14:12
Like, how do we how do you look at those?
1:14:16
Because I happen to this is, like, a lot of random stories.
1:14:18
I happen to run into these guys from Goldman Sachs one day day in a in a restaurant, and they were saying they were they were actually talking about this out loud, and I was, like, mortified.
1:14:28
Because I'm like, oh, my gosh.
1:14:29
So then I went over and I started talking to them about it, and then they were saying that, essentially, like, a lot of these companies are just gonna start using, like, these firms and do these, like like like, hitting hidden hiring processes to not necessarily, like, comply with salary transparency.
1:14:47
Listen, I was just wondering, like, like, how are you thinking?
1:14:50
And what I know you've been seeing a lot of these different type of things, like, especially the other issues with, like, the very large salary ranges, which is a little disingenuous.
1:14:58
I'm just wondering, like, how you're thinking about this, currently adjusting them, and then, like, in the future, how you may think about, like, addressing those particular issues where they're kind of, like, finding ways to somewhat, like, skirt around the law.
